After he had already expressed his regrets to Ice Cube, he said goodbye to his fans by penning a letter that was sent out during the week of March 20. On March 26, 1995, exactly one month after he was diagnosed with AIDS, Eazy-E passed away as a result of AIDS-related pneumonia.
